Can I join if I live outside of Crowhurst?

Whilst priority will be given to those who live in Crowhurst you may apply to join from anywhere.  If there is space you may be granted membership. All memberships are at the management teams discretion.

Please feel free to request an application form from:

membership@st-georges-angling.club

A link will be sent back to you via email.

Where can I find the fishery rules?

Fishery rules will be published on the website prior to 1st April 2026.  They will be in keeping with good fishery management best practices.  A full set of rules will be displayed on the noticeboard in the fishery carpark and sent with every membership application.  For the avoidance of doubt failure to comply with the rules, that are there for the benefit of the fish, anglers and local residents will result in your removal from the club.

Can I bring a guest?

You may bring a child under the age of 10 to fish alongside you with one rod only - otherwise guest tickets will not be issued.  A family membership will be offered for those that wish to consider that option.

What is the current stock level?

The Old Brickworks is currently a mixed fishery with carp, bream, tench, perch, roach and rudd being the prevalent species.  An extensive stocking programe will follow health checks and other fishery management initiatives in 2026.

Is there a programe to develop the stock in the future?

An extensive fishery management programe has been developed that will result in a restocking of the fishery in the coming seasons.  Due to the time of year of taking over the fishery the first new stocking will not take place until the Winter of 2026.  Whilst specimen carp will be introduced it will always retain its status of a mixed fishery where local anglers can come to get a bend in their rod.

What is the membership year and will there be Winter only tickets?

Memberships will be from 1st April - 31st  March annually. There will be no Winter tickets.

Will matches still be held at the venue?

Although The Old Brickworks will o longer be considered a match fishery, an organised annual charity match will be held annually.  In 2026 this will likely be in September.  Details to follow.

Can I cancel my membership and get a refund?

No. Once you have committed to membership you will not be entitled to a refund.  It is hoped the only way you will not get value for money is if you are asked to leave the club following a flagrant breach of the rules.  We hope this is never the case.

Will the west bank reopen for fishing?

Yes it will but due to the level of ground works required this is unlikely to be before April 2027.

Will the old rules still apply?

No. All members will be made aware of the new rules before 1st April 2026.  They are not there to be restrictive and have been considered in consultation with the Angling Trust.  Breaches of the new rules will not be tolerated.

Can I rejoin after 1st April 2027?

Yes of course. Any angling club needs good members.  If you are a good member you will always be most welcome.

Will the fees change post 1st April 2027?

The fees will almost certainly be adjusted post April 2027.  They will remain market appropriate and reflect the development of the fishery.  Angling at The OId Brickworks will always represent excellent value for money.
